La City of Vancouver<\/strong>, en el sector de South East False Creek (SEFC)<\/strong>, necesitaba un sistema de calefacci\u00f3n distrital (District Heating)<\/strong> sostenible para abastecer a la Villa Ol\u00edmpica Vancouver 2010<\/strong>, posteriormente convertida en condominios residenciales. Este modelo de District Heating<\/strong> consiste en una red centralizada que suministra calor a m\u00faltiples edificios mediante tuber\u00edas, reemplazando calderas individuales y reduciendo significativamente el impacto ambiental.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

Para cumplir con los objetivos de eficiencia y sustentabilidad, TECSIR suministr\u00f3 un sistema de recuperaci\u00f3n de energ\u00eda mediante bomba de calor<\/strong>, capaz de extraer calor del drenaje urbano<\/strong> como fuente primaria. El sistema entrega 2,700 kW de calor<\/strong>, opera con un flujo de 409 GPM (\u224825.8 l\/s)<\/strong> y suministra agua caliente entre 55 \u00b0C y 80 \u00b0C<\/strong> a toda la red de edificios.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t

El aprovechamiento de la energ\u00eda t\u00e9rmica contenida en el drenaje permiti\u00f3 alcanzar un COP de 3.0<\/strong>, reduciendo dr\u00e1sticamente el consumo energ\u00e9tico comparado con sistemas tradicionales. Adem\u00e1s, al disminuir la temperatura del afluente antes de enviarlo al oc\u00e9ano, se reduce el crecimiento biol\u00f3gico<\/strong> que afecta los niveles de ox\u00edgeno marino.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t<\/section>\n\t\t\t\t

El proyecto se complet\u00f3 a tiempo para los Juegos Ol\u00edmpicos de Invierno 2010<\/strong>, con contrato firmado en 2008 y la primera fase operativa antes de febrero de 2010. Por su innovaci\u00f3n y sustentabilidad, fue galardonado con el Milton Garland Refrigeration Award for Project Excellence<\/strong> otorgado por ASHRAE<\/strong>, destacando la excelencia del dise\u00f1o mexicano aplicado en un mercado internacional de alta exigencia.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t
